Chemical peels remove damaged outer layers of skin on the face to smooth texture, reduce scarring, and remove blemishes and pre-cancerous growths. The result: healthy, glowing skin. Peel formulas and strengths are tailored to each patient. Peels can be combined with other procedures such as facelifts for a younger look. They may be covered by insurance if they are performed for medical rather than cosmetic reasons.

Glycolic peels, the mildest form of chemical peels, exfoliate the surface layer of skin to expose the fresher, younger-looking skin beneath. Glycolic peels are often preferred for minor skin problems, such as roughness, dryness, sun damage, fine lines, and wrinkles. Treatments take only ten or 15 minutes. Results are visible immediately, but repeated treatments are necessary for full effect. |
Laser Tattoo Removal
Laser Hair Removal
- Unwanted hair can be easily removed and permanently reduced with the MedLite C6 laser.
- MedLite C6 laser light pulses target the hair follicle directly, discouraging and ultimately destroying the potential for regrowth.
- Treatment is safe on all skin types and hair colors.
- “Tingling” sensations are felt during treatment.
Removal of Pigmented Lesions: Age Spots, Freckles, Brown Spots, and Birthmarks
- Dr. Lynn McKinley-Grant can remove various forms of brown spots on the skin with the MedLite C6 Laser.
- The MedLite C6 laser is specialized to target only the pigmented lesion.
- The light produced by the laser is absorbed by the pigmented lesion and is destroyed therefore lightening the lesion.
- Treatment sensation is similar to the snap of a rubber.
- A consultation with Dr. Lynn McKinley-Grant is required to determine the number of treatments necessary for wanted results.
Laser Skin Rejuvenation
- Reduce acne scarring and wrinkles with non-ablative (does not remove any skin) MedLite C6 laser treatments.
- Acne scarring is easily reduced by the increase in reproduction of outer skin cells creating a bright, clear, and even skin tone.
- Wrinkles are reduced by stimulating collagen production under the skin creating a firmer younger appearance.
- “Tingling” sensations are felt during treatment.
- Four to six treatments are required for best results.
Microdermabrasion improves mild to moderate sun damage, scarring, wrinkles, and other superficial skin problems. A gentle stream of tiny particles exfoliates the outer layer of skin and provides a fresh, glowing, younger appearance. The particles scrape away the surface layer of aging or damaged skin, which is then brushed off with the microdermabrasion vacuum tool with no need for anesthesia. Only a small amount of skin is removed, so sensitive areas such as the face, chest, neck, arms, and hands can be treated. Results are comparable to a light chemical peel and should be immediately visible. Microdermabrasion is often performed in conjunction with other skin renewal procedures, such as laser treatment and chemical peels. Multiple treatments are recommended for full effect.
Silk Peel microdermabrasion provides gentle, effective exfoliation for all skin types. The Silk Peel is especially effective for reducing fine lines and wrinkles, scarring, uneven pigmentation of skin surfaces, stretch marks, and sun damage. The silk peel procedure infuses salicylic acid for acne, Hydroxyquinone for skin lightening, and Hyaluronic acid for hydration of the skin.
As we age, the rate at which our skin sheds and replenishes itself slows down. This leaves a layer of dead cells on the surface of the skin, contributing to an aged appearance. Facial
peels help exfoliate the damaged layer to reveal the younger, healthier skin beneath. Made of natural fruit and plant extracts, essential oils, vitamins, collagen, elastin, or other ingredients, facials are a faster and gentler alternative to laser resurfacing. Applied in a series of 15- to 20-minute treatments over several weeks, facials reduce the signs of aging and can also improve skin conditions such as acne, dry or oily skin, and uneven texture or pigmentation. Peel strengths and formulas are tailored to each patient for optimal results.
BOTOX® Cosmetic, or botulinum toxin type A, is a protein commonly used to reduce or eliminate the appearance of facial wrinkles. It is injected under the skin into areas surrounding the eyes, forehead and mouth to smooth crow's feet, frown and worry lines, and lines on the neck. BOTOX® injections block nerve impulses, weakening muscles to relax wrinkles and give the face a rejuvenated look. BOTOX® may also be useful for migraine headaches, excessive sweating, and eye and neck muscle spasms.

Approved by the FDA, Restylane is designed to match your skin, smoothing wrinkles, sculpting lips or shaping facial contours. With its unique ability to bind with water, Restylane is able to perform for many months in your skin. The most common areas for a Restylane treatment are the glabellar lines (between the eyebrows) and the nasolabial folds (from the root of the nose to the angle of your mouth). When used for lips or facial contouring, Restylane will add shape and volume to the area. Restylane is able to create volume under your wrinkles, which are then lifted up and smoothed out.

Can’t wear your favorite earrings any longer? Your earlobes can be repaired easily and without discomfort. With a small amount of local anesthesia the layers of the earlobe can be sown together again. One month later you can have a new opening created for your earrings.
Large or small moles, growths, spots, skin tags, and facial spider veins can be removed without stitches or injected anesthesia. A fine wire using radiofrequency waves can literally shave off these lesions one layer at a time, leaving few residual marks, if any.
