Lynn McKinley-Grant is board-certified in dermatology with 19 years' experience in private practice and academic medicine. She is an associate clinical professor of dermatology and an attending physician at the Melanoma Center at the Washington Hospital Center. She lectures on a variety of topics, including the dermatological aspects of medical disease.
Dr. McKinley-Grant is a frequent spokesperson for the American Academy of Dermatology and has been interviewed on local and national television, radio, newspapers, magazines and the Internet. ***Washingtonian Magazine has listed her since 1992 as one of the "Top Doctors" in the area, as selected by other physicians.*****
Dr. McKinley-Grant's research interests include the effects of race and environment on the manifestation of diseases. She believes that many diseases are not recognized in individuals of color, may affect them more seriously, or may respond differently to treatment. She is currently writing book chapters on cutaneous manifestations of systemic diseases and sarcoidosis for Dermatology for Skin of Color, edited by Drs. Susan Taylor and Paul Kelly.
Dr. McKinley-Grant is a member of numerous medical organizations, including the American Academy of Dermatology, the Dermatology Foundation's Leaders Society, and the National Medical Association. She is also the Past President of the Washington, D.C. Dermatological Society. |
